Virgil Aurand is an I.T. Infrastructure Engineer/Consultant, Systems Analyst, Programmer, Web Dev. professional, Artist, Woodworker, and Furniture Maker.

Virgil works with technology clients all over the country from his remote office, and works out of his studio in rural N. Idaho.

TECHNOLOGY

"My expertise encompasses the areas of assessment, strategy, architecture and the secure implementation of information systems in Internet, e-Commerce, Client/Server, PC- based, LAN/WAN/WLAN, and Remote-Access computing environments. My current programming focus is Python, data science/visualization and various web frameworks.

Since 1995, I have successfully provided computing solutions for companies ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. I developed this expertise through years of working with financial, consumer, industrial, medical, institutional, not-for-profit, and retail organizations. I earn the trust of clients by providing results- oriented solutions for their present needs, while anticipating requirements for future growth. Working with large, international firms, and at small, more specialized ones, provides me with broad-based and proven experience."

Virgil Aurand is also an Artist, Woodworker, Woodturner, Furniture Maker and Sculptor.

"My art and furniture creation is influenced by the variety of my experiences, careers, travels, places I’ve lived, and people that have impacted me. The themes of the natural world, the passage of time, the beauty of impermanence and imperfection interests and intrigues me, and is part of the aesthetic of my current work.”

With a background in woodworking and digital design, Virgil employs an experimental approach to shape and design. He has a deep passion for a high level of craftsmanship and quality. His mission is to brighten living spaces with beautiful art and furniture. Virgil also enjoys teaching in both classroom and individual settings.
